After spending close to 10 years in the Christian world, I've noticed a slight disconnect. One that has left me feeling both separated, alone and confused. I've noticed things that sound nice or make us feel good seem to be all over, but few and far between are the stories of the hardships. Few are the testimonies of the nitty gritty valleys, doubts and questions. Few are the stories that aren't spoken for entertainment or profit, few that don't seem rehearsed, and few seem to be the full story. That's why I created this blog. The Authentic Faith Experience was designed to be true, vulnerable and open about my process. It says in the book of Revelations that we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of testimony. Let us not diminish any of the power He has freely and graciously bestowed upon us.
